BISP Partners with Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis to Enhance Skill Training and Employment Opportunities


Islamabad: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development have launched a collaborative initiative to provide certified skill training to BISP beneficiaries. This partnership aims to enhance the global employment prospects of these individuals by equipping them with internationally recognized certifications.



According to Press Information Department, the agreement was finalized in a meeting at the office of Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of BISP, emphasized the initiative’s focus on sectors with robust international demand such as home care, hospitality, and receptionist roles. She highlighted that providing high-quality training and obtaining international certifications could significantly improve the job prospects of beneficiaries abroad, thereby contributing to Pakistan’s economy.



Minister Hussain supported the initiative, noting its potential to uplift entire families of beneficiaries by enhancing their skill sets. He advocated for partnerships with countries known for high training standards like Japan and Germany to ensure the success of the program. The leaders agreed on the importance of developing demand-driven courses and maintaining rigorous standards to produce skilled manpower ready for international opportunities.
