Islamabad, August 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):Under the government’s Flood Relief Cash Assistance program, the Benazir Income Support Program has so far disbursed around eleven billion rupees among flood affected families across Pakistan. According to details, a total of 434,742 flood affected families were provided this cash assistance. These families include 48,092 from Balochistan, 257,351 from Sindh, 47,067 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 82,232 families from Punjab.

Moreover, to ensure smooth payments to flood affectees, a control Room has also been established at the BISP headquarters in Islamabad. The affected families can send their CNIC numbers to 8171 for registration in Flood Relief Cash Assistance program and upon receiving payment message they can visit their nearby camp site to receive the cash.
