BISP Chairperson Warns Against Fraud in E-Kacheri Session

ISLAMABAD: In a recent E-Kacheri session, Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), highlighted the importance of protecting eligible women from fraudulent activities exploiting the program’s name. She emphasized that no fees or survey forms are needed for BISP registration, and surveys are conducted exclusively through designated centers.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, Senator Khalid hosted the live session on BISP’s official Facebook page, addressing concerns from 37 callers. The 1-hour and 14-minute interaction aimed to resolve complaints promptly. Senator Khalid instructed her staff to address all issues raised during the session immediately.

She explained that BISP conducts surveys for deserving households solely through dynamic registry centers at BISP Tehsil Offices or mobile registration vans. Beneficiaries were cautioned against sharing personal information elsewhere, as any other method is fraudulent.

Senator Khalid clarified that once a household survey is completed, another cannot occur for two years. She urged beneficiaries not to seek repeated surveys or visit centers without necessity. She also stressed that 8171 is BISP’s only official number for messaging, advising beneficiaries to report any messages from other numbers as fraud.

Beneficiaries were reminded to count their payments carefully and report any discrepancies. Senator Khalid assured attendees that strict actions would be taken against those committing fraud and encouraged reporting complaints to ensure swift resolution and accountability.
