BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid Collaborates with National Leaders to Enhance Women’s Empowerment Programs

Islamabad, Chairperson Rubina Khalid of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) met with Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, today to discuss the progress and future initiatives of the BISP, focusing on enhancing the economic empowerment of marginalized women. The meeting underscored the commitment of BISP to extend its reach and impact to ensure comprehensive support to vulnerable communities across Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting, Speaker Sadiq expressed his support for the BISP and congratulated Mrs. Khalid on her new role, emphasizing the program’s importance in the socio-economic uplift of marginalized communities. Mrs. Khalid detailed the current and newly launched initiatives of BISP, highlighting the program’s dedication to the economic empowerment of women and the broader aim to leave no one behind.

Later in the day, Mrs. Khalid also met with Engineer Mohammad Humayun Khan, Central Additional General Secretary of the Pakistan Peoples Party, to address specific challenges faced by women beneficiaries in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including issues related to stipend disbursements and access to necessary facilities. Mrs. Khalid reassured that all issues would be promptly addressed, affirming her commitment to ensuring timely support for every woman in need.
