Islamabad, August 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Minister Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has said that the Sindh government is starting projects worth billions of rupees in Karachi and PPP vision is a clean Karachi. Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that the PPP wants no more divisive politics in the city. I invite Jamaat-e-Islami to together that there should be politics of service. It is the month of freedom, through this month decide that we will not divide into factions and all will work together for the development of the city. Abbasi Shaheed Hospital’s OPD and Emergency are being restored on an emergency basis. We want the people of central district to get convenience. Minister LG Nasir Hussain Shah and Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab while addressing the opening ceremony of Primary and Secondary Solid Waste Collection System organized by Sindh Solid Waste Management Board in New Karachi Zone District Central.
Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Additional Chief Secretary LG Syed Najam Shah, MD Solid Waste Management Board Imtiaz Shah, President of Arts Council of Pakistan Muhammad Ahmad Shah, Central District PPP President Masroor Ahsan, General Secretary Dil Muhammad, Mayor Karachi Spokesperson for Political Affairs and Chief WHEP Karamullah Waqasi Chairman of New Karachi Town Muhammad Yusuf and other leaders and officers were also present on this occasion. Minister LG said that there is a change in cleanliness in the city. Now Karachi will be clean, the sector of New Karachi was left, now from today the cleaning work has been started here as well. Minister said that the roads of Karachi used to be washed in the past, now these roads are being cleaned using modern machinery, I would request the media to show this coverage to the public.
He said that along with the leadership of the People’s Party, Dr. Asim Hussain has also played an important role for the improvement of the central district and requested the leadership to release funds for the central district. Hafiz NaeemurRahman is good person. PPP has planned big construction projects for Karachi in this year’s budget. PPP will take Karachi forward. In response to a question, Minister LG said that Chairman PTI has been sentenced by the court, it has been delayed. In response to a question, he said that the caretaker set-up will come through consultation and we have no objection to whoever becomes the prime minister. He said that we have got the highest mandate at the LocalBodies in Karachi and we will win in the future too. He said that the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board is carrying out sanitation work in different areas of Karachi.
Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab while addressing the ceremony said that the operation of lifting the ornaments in the five days of Eid was successful. Representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami and Tehreek-e-Insaaf worked with us. Bilawal Bhutto has clear orders that we will continue to work for Karachi. The people of Karachi want to see arrangements, not options. Mayor Karachi said that several construction projects have been completed in Central District and many will be completed in the next few months. Shahrah Noor Jahan, Shahrah Humayun, Shahrah Alamgir were in bad condition, now they are being worked on rapidly. The Sindh government has approved the construction of an underpass in front of Meena Bazaar.
Just as we have built a modern sports complex at Kukri Ground in Lyari, similarly a mega scheme has been approved in the budget for the Bakhtiari Youth Center in Central District. This center will be converted into a modern sports complex. Road construction is going on at Five Star Chowrangi. will serve the people of Central District in a better way, the underpasses in Central District were facing problems earlier, now they have also been improved. He said that politics of discrimination should be abolished, politics of love, work and development should be done. Work will be done in the city without discrimination, Mayor Karachi said that the doors of Pakistan People’s Party, Mayor Karachi, Deputy Mayor and Minister LG are open for all. Reiterate our commitment to stand together for the development of Karachi, Sindh province and Pakistan. Managing Director of Solid Waste Management Imtiaz Shah and Chief Executive of the Chinese company Madam Khadija and others also addressed the event.
