Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Criticizes PTI Founder’s Remarks as Detrimental to Democracy


Islamabad: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has sharply criticized a recent statement by the founder of PTI, labeling it an assault on democratic institutions and constitutional integrity during a session in the National Assembly.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during his address, Bilawal accused the PTI founder of targeting high-ranking officials including the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Chief of Army Staff. He suggested that PTI should investigate the authenticity of the controversial statement. Additionally, Bilawal celebrated the election of Makhdom Tahir Rasheeduddin as a Member of the National Assembly from Rahim Yar Khan, commending the voters and coalition parties for their support.



The session also touched upon other significant political and economic issues, including proposed privatizations of state-owned enterprises as discussed by the Minister for Energy, Musadik Malik, and defense topics brought up by Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif. Calls were made by various members to uphold respect for the judiciary and military leadership amidst a politically charged environment.
