Islamabad: Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has called for greater collaboration among political parties to enhance the integrity and effectiveness of the Pakistani Parliament.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a media briefing in Islamabad, Bhutto Zardari highlighted the rapid pace of legislative processes currently underway. He confirmed that there is unanimous agreement on a constitutional amendment between the PPP and the Jamiat-Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), signifying a significant stride towards consensus-building in key legislative areas.
The PPP chairman emphasized the need for political compromises and prudent decision-making to foster a more robust parliamentary system. He also urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to adopt a more constructive and serious approach to affirm its legitimacy as a political entity, distancing itself from what he described as merely social media activism.
