Bilal Siddiqui, others support APHC new structure

Srinagar, September 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui, has extended full support to new structure of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC). The APHC has appointed illegally detained Masarrat Aalam Butt as its new Chairman and Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar as Vice Chairmen while Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani will continue to work as General Secretary of the Hurriyat Conference.

Bilal Siddiqui in a statement issued in Srinagar said, though the void left by the departure of Syed Ali Gilani is not possible to fill but APHC leaders as the caretakers and guardians of movement are duty-bound to carry his mission and legacy forward without any fear, intimidation and compromise.

He said, the APHC is representing a movement with a huge investment of sacrifices and sentiments and it would continue its struggle for Kashmiris’ birth right to self-determination. “We salute the courage and steadfastness of our jailed colleagues and comrades for their determination towards the cause of freedom,” Bilal Siddiqui maintained.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, discussing with the members of Kashmir High Court Bar Association in a Srinagar court welcomed the appointment of Masarrat Aalam Butt as the new Chairman of APHC. He said that the huge sacrifices of the Kashmiris for the Kashmir cause would not go waste and would definitely bring positive results. He added that Kashmir dispute was a nuclear flashpoint and the whole South Asia was on nuclear edge.

The Chairman of United Jihad Council (UJC), Syed Salahuddin in a statement issued in Muzaffarabad welcomed the appointment of Masarrat Alam Butt as new APHC Chairman. He said that after the deaths of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani and Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, the decision to appoint Masarrat Alam Butt as APHC Chairman was timely and encouraging.

He said, Masarrat Alam Butt is a sincere and brave soldier of the Kashmir freedom movement and has been rendering unprecedented sacrifices for the Kashmir cause, adding that he has been languishing in jails for the last several years.
