Jammu, October 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): In a big blow to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in India, the opposition alliance of National Congress and Congress emphatically won the Kargil Hill Council elections.
As per counting, the alliance has won 22 seats. Two seats were won by Independents while the BJP could bag only 2 seats.
In the break-up, National Conference bagged 12 seats, Congress 10 and Independents 2 while the BJP got two seats.
