Washington D.C: President Joe Biden reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to its relationship with Pakistan, emphasizing its significance for regional stability and security. This declaration came during his meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, who presented his credentials recently.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Biden highlighted the cooperative history between the two nations, particularly in counterterrorism efforts. He expressed a positive outlook on the potential to further develop bilateral ties, focusing on shared goals such as addressing climate change, regional security, and global health challenges. The discussions also touched on the ‘US-Pakistan Green Alliance’ framework, aiming to foster security, trade, investment, and economic growth.
Ambassador Sheikh outlined Pakistan’s readiness to expand trade and attract U.S. investments in sectors like alternative energy, green technology, and digital platforms. He praised the significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in the U.S., noting their role as a pivotal link between the two countries.
