Better Land Connectivity to Enhance Pakistan-Belarus Trade Relations

Minsk: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and Belarusian Transport Minister Alexei Likhanovich engaged in discussions in Minsk, Belarus, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation, specifically through improved land connectivity to enhance trade ties between the two nations.

The meeting focused on the potential benefits of enhancing land connectivity to facilitate trade, with Khan emphasizing the strategic importance of Belarus in the regional trade landscape. The Federal Minister highlighted Pakistan’s interest in attracting foreign investment into its motorway sector, which is considered crucial for boosting trade.

Khan mentioned that the Prime Minister of Pakistan is scheduled to visit Belarus later this month. During this significant visit, the two countries are expected to sign several bilateral agreements covering communications, commerce, industry, and defense production.

The discussions reflect a mutual interest in leveraging geographical advantages to promote economic collaboration, with both sides recognizing the importance of improved infrastructure in fostering trade and investment opportunities.
