Islamabad, Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani emphasizes that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has significantly transformed perspectives on development, connectivity, and regional collaboration on a global scale.

According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Chairman Sanjrani, during his speech at the International Symposium in Beijing, marking the 10th anniversary of China’s principles of Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit, and Inclusiveness in Neighborhood Diplomacy, elaborated on the profound impact of the BRI. He highlighted that in today’s challenging global environment, the myriad initiatives introduced by the Chinese President, such as the Belt and Road Initiative, Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, present a comprehensive and actionable approach to ensuring global peace and security.

Further underscoring the success of the BRI, Sanjrani pointed out the transformational role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He stated that the CPEC has not only revamped Pakistan’s economic framework but has also set a precedent as an exemplary BRI project. Moreover, he noted that the CPEC, as an inclusive initiative, is opening doors for collaboration with third countries.

Sanjrani concluded by reinforcing the shared vision of both Pakistan and China, emphasizing their combined efforts towards socio-economic growth and betterment, rooted in their strong ties as neighbors and steadfast allies.
