Islamabad, January 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):Upon Special invitation of Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, Belgium Parliamentary Delegation led by Ms Allessia Clots Senator/Chairperson of Pakistan-Belgium Parliamentary Friendship Group is officially visiting Pakistan from 16th January to 21st January 2023. This visit will serve as a tool to strengthen bilateral ties between both nations and further strengthen parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, new avenues of cooperation in trade and business would be also explored during this visit.

Belgium Parliamentary Delegation comprises of Ms. Allessia Claes, Senator /Chairperson of the Belgium-Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mr. Karl Vanlourve, State Senator Mr. Philippe Courard, PS, State Senator, Mr. Georges Dallemagne, Les Engages, Member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives and Senior officers of Belgium Parliament.

Besides having call on with Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf, the Belgium Belgium Parliamentary Delegation would also hold meeting with Chairman Senate. The delegation would also hold meeting with Convener parliamentary task Force on SDGs and chairperson Women Parliamentary Caucus in Parliament House.

Furthermore, the Parliamentary Delegation would call on Governor Punjab in Lahore. This will also visit Texpak (Belgium Company) in Lahore and Badshahi mosque. Later on, the Belgium Parliamentary Delegation would visit Karachi. Where it will have call on meeting with Chief Minister Sindh. The parliament delegation would also visit Leprosy centre of MALC Karachi and flood affected areas in Sindh to express solidarity with flood affected people.
