Islamabad: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko departed for his home country after concluding a three-day visit to Pakistan, marking a significant moment in the bilateral relations between the two nations. During his visit, President Lukashenko was seen off at the airport by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the leaders of Belarus and Pakistan engaged in comprehensive discussions to review and enhance their nations’ bilateral relations. The visit resulted in the signing of fifteen agreements and memorandums of understanding, including a roadmap for comprehensive cooperation for the years 2025 to 2027. This roadmap emphasizes the enhancement of bilateral economic cooperation.
President Lukashenko was accompanied by a delegation of key business figures and investors from Belarus, who participated in meetings with Pakistani business leaders. These meetings were described as successful and fruitful, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening economic ties.
In addition to the formal engagements, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented a photo album to President Lukashenko, commemorating the visit. Earlier, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif hosted a luncheon in honor of the Belarusian President in Murree, further highlighting the importance of the visit in fostering friendly relations.
