Beijing Professor Accuses India of Supporting Terrorism, Violating UN Charter

Beijing, Cheng Xizhong, a visiting professor at Southwest University of Political Science and Law, has accused India of supporting terrorism and conducting overseas assassinations in collaboration with terrorist organizations. He asserts that these actions contribute significantly to the proliferation of international terrorism, impacting global peace and stability.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Prof. Cheng’s statement, issued in Beijing, calls for the international community to condemn India’s alleged acts of state terrorism. He urges preventative measures against India’s use of “proxy war” tactics to disrupt the social stability and economic development of its neighboring countries. His comments follow the Pakistani Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi’s revelation of India’s alleged involvement in assassinations in Pakistan, as well as India’s purported long-term support for terrorists in the country, based on what he described as irrefutable evidence. This claim was made during a press conference on January 25 and received extensive international media coverage.

Prof. Cheng highlighted the detrimental effects of India’s policies on its neighbors, labeling them as victims of Indian state terrorism. He condemned India’s support for terrorism in neighboring countries as a serious infringement of their sovereignty and a violation of the United Nations Charter.

Emphasizing that terrorism is a common enemy of humanity, Cheng stated China’s firm opposition to double standards in counter-terrorism. He expressed China’s readiness to enhance cooperation with other countries to combat all forms of terrorism.
