Behl discusses IIOJK’s situation with Tawheedi

Srinagar, October 02, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a delegation, led by APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum (JKSPF), Advocate Devinder Singh Behl, met in Sopore with the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) leader, Farooq Ahmed Tawheedi, who was recently released from illegal detention.

Devinder Singh Behl on the occasion discussed with the JKML leader the current situation in the occupied territory and the Kashmir freedom movement and said that Kashmiri leaders could not be distracted from their ideology by the hardships of jail and other Indian atrocities. He said that the people of Kashmir would continue their freedom struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.

Advocate Devinder Singh deplored that India had deployed its 900,000 troops in the occupied territory and had turned it into a largest prison in the world. He said that lasting peace could not be established in South Asia till the settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the UN resolutions.

On the occasion, Farooq Tawhidi said that India was torturing Kashmiri political detainees in jails to force them to give up the freedom struggle. However, he said, the Hurriyat leaders and activists will not surrender before the Indian suppression. The delegation also included the General Secretary of JKSPF Jaitender Singh, Secretary Koljit Singh, Mahender Singh and Avtar Singh.
