Bar Associations Praise Lawyers Protection Bill During Meeting with Law Minister


Islamabad: Delegations from the Bar Associations of Depalpur, Multan, Pakpattan, Sahiwal, and Muzaffarabad met with Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, focusing on the rights, protection, and welfare of lawyers nationwide.



The representatives expressed their approval of the recent implementation of the Lawyers Protection Bill, describing it as a significant milestone. They acknowledged the Federal Government’s efforts, particularly highlighting the contributions of the Law Minister in enacting the legislation.



Under the new law, the families of martyred lawyers are provided with immediate financial assistance. The delegations commended this initiative, recognizing it as a positive step for the legal community.



In addition, the representatives noted the Federal Government’s grants aimed at development and improvement projects within bar associations. They emphasized the government’s practical steps towards enhancing the welfare of lawyers.



Senator Tarar reiterated his commitment to support the welfare of lawyers, assuring the delegations that their concerns would continue to be prioritized in the future.
