Muzaffarabad, The Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has initiated a comprehensive group health insurance program, encompassing its employees and their families. The program was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Finance and Mutual Aid of Azad Kashmir, Khan Abdul Majid Khan, who is also the chairman of the bank. This initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing employee welfare and ensuring quality medical facilities.
According to Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the group health insurance policy aims to provide top-tier medical facilities to the bank’s employees, their spouses, children, and parents. The scheme is designed to support employees in dealing with medical issues, thereby enabling them to contribute effectively to the bank’s development in a healthy and positive work environment. The insurance coverage extends to 322 hospitals across the four provinces, 39 in Islamabad, 8 in the northern regions and Gilgit-Baltistan, and 3 in Azad Kashmir. Additionally, 15 laboratories and diagnostic centers nationwide are part of the network.
During the inauguration, Khan Abdul Majid Khan, the Chief Guest and Chairman of the bank, expressed satisfaction with the institution’s overall performance. He lauded CEO Khawar Saeed and his team for formulating a robust health policy for the bank’s staff. Khan emphasized his commitment to elevating the bank to a scheduled bank status, allowing it to offer services at both national and international levels. This progression is seen as a vital contributor to the economic and social development of the region.
Khan also mentioned a productive meeting with the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, which led to significant progress and recognition of the Bank of Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s business results. The State Bank appointed a special representative to facilitate these advancements. Despite limited resources, the bank is dedicated to providing its staff with facilities and benefits, including group health insurance, to foster a united and committed workforce striving for the bank’s growth and success.
