Bangladesh and Pakistan Ambassadors Discuss Trade and Cooperation in Abu Dhabi


Abu Dhabi: The newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates, Tareq Ahmed, met with the Ambassador of Pakistan, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, at the Pakistan House in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, increasing people-to-people contact, and resuming direct flights between the two countries.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the ambassadors highlighted the importance of supporting the large Pakistani and Bangladeshi diaspora residing in the UAE. Ambassador Tirmizi pointed out the historical and cultural ties between the two nations and noted the potential for increased trade to benefit their economies.



Ambassador Ahmed reiterated Bangladesh’s commitment to strengthening ties with Pakistan. He stressed the importance of dialogue and cooperation to address regional challenges and pursue shared goals. The meeting concluded with both parties expressing a commitment to regional peace, prosperity, and enhanced engagement.
