Bandipora families protest in Srinagar, demand immediate release of their loved ones

Srinagar, December 23, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the families of three persons illegally detained by Indian police from Bandipora town staged a protest demonstration in Srinagar, demanding their immediate release. Indian police had arrested three persons, Armeem Gojar (45), Abdul Bari (50) and Muhammad Suliman Gojar (50), after summoning them to police station on October, this year. They were later booked under draconian law, Public Safety Act.

The families of the detainees held a demonstration at the Press Enclave in Srinagar and demanded the release of their relatives. The protesting families said that their loved ones have been detained without any reason.

The wife of one among the detained person, Muhammad Salman Gojar, said, “My husband has been detained by police without any reason. We have already approached police in this regard who told us that he will be released soon.” However, she said that her husband is still under custody.

The other protesting families also stated that their loved ones have not been released yet. We appeal to the concerned authorities to release our beloved as the families are facing immense hardships, they said.
