Quetta: In a significant development for gender equality and educational advancement in Balochistan, Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi, the Adviser to Chief Minister Balochistan for Women Development Department, highlighted the increasing involvement of women from the province in the Pakistan Navy and discussed plans for the establishment of Bahria University and a Maritime Technology Training Park in Quetta. These initiatives are aimed at boosting the educational and professional prospects of the province’s youth, especially women.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi expressed these views during his visit to the Navy Headquarters in Quetta, where he was received by Navy Commandant Officer Captain Abdullah Siddiqui. Captain Siddiqui welcomed Dr. Bilidi and honored him with a commemorative shield. The visit underscored the growing opportunities for women in Balochistan to contribute to the nation’s security and reflected their strength, determination, and perseverance.
Dr. Bilidi discussed the recruitment of women from Balochistan into various sectors of the Pakistan Navy, emphasizing the importance of increasing female representation for gender equality and to tap into the immense potential of women in the province. Additionally, the meeting addressed the establishment of Bahria University in Quetta. Dr. Bilidi noted that the university would provide world-class educational facilities, enabling local youth, particularly women, to succeed academically and professionally.
Highlighting another significant initiative, Dr. Bilidi spoke about the importance of the Maritime Technology Training Park for the youth of Balochistan. He stated that this training park would offer modern training in maritime technologies, creating new career opportunities and promoting economic development in the region.
