Quetta: The widow of martyred Levies soldier Yasir Gul has received long-awaited government compensation following intervention by Balochistan’s provincial ombudsman, Nazir Baloch. This resolution comes after the widow lodged a complaint regarding the non-payment of the announced benefits.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the widow’s application detailed that her husband was killed in the line of duty on June 10, 2023, and despite promises, the compensation had not been disbursed. Following her complaint, investigating officer Zahoor Kasi, under directives from the ombudsman, expedited the inquiry and collaborated with the relevant department to ensure the widow received the due benefits, thus resolving the grievance effectively.
