Quetta: Balochistan Health Minister Sardarzada Mir Faisal Khan Jamali officially inaugurated a new triage unit at the Trauma Center of Civil Hospital, aimed at enhancing the hospital’s emergency response capabilities.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the new unit features eight beds dedicated to managing critical medical cases efficiently. It is designed to ensure that patients with life-threatening injuries receive immediate medical attention, thereby reducing waiting times and prioritizing urgent care.
During the inauguration, Minister Jamali was joined by notable medical professionals including MC Dr. Amin Khan Mandukhel, Dean PGMI Prof. Dr. Naseebullah Zirkoon, and Chief Surgeon Dr. Iqbal Jafar. The triage system is part of a broader initiative to provide equitable and timely access to quality emergency treatment for traffic accident victims and other emergencies.
Minister Jamali also toured various departments within the trauma center and commended the medical staff, particularly MD Trauma Center Dr. Arbab Kamran, for their commendable performance in emergency situations. He addressed the media, emphasizing ongoing efforts to enhance the facility’s resources, including the provision of essential medical machinery and drugs.
