Quetta, In a significant speech at Beotams University, Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandokhel called for continuous dialogue and political negotiations to address the ongoing unrest and insurgency in the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Governor Mandokhel spoke during an event titled “Journey towards Peace and Stability in Balochistan,” organized by Voice of Balochistan. He emphasized that the region’s challenges are inherently political and require lasting political solutions. The Governor highlighted the importance of keeping communication channels open, despite the frustrations and tensions that may arise from the complex socio-political landscape of Balochistan.
The event was attended by a diverse group of participants, including provincial ministers, the vice chancellor of Beotams University, and other notable figures. Governor Mandokhel also praised the efforts of Balochistan leaders like Gulzar Imam and Sarfaraz Banglazai for their integration into the national framework, noting such developments as crucial for the province’s future.
He expressed concerns over the significant impact of insurgency on both lives and economic stability in Balochistan, advocating for the use of traditional conflict resolution methods like Jirga and Maraka to address public grievances. Acknowledging the severe impact of poverty, inflation, and unemployment exacerbated by the insurgency, Governor Mandokhel urged immediate and decisive action to tackle these pressing issues and restore peace and prosperity to the troubled province.
