Balochistan Government Pushes for Improved Travel Facilities to Boost Women’s Education and Employment

Quetta: In a significant move aimed at enhancing educational and employment opportunities for women in Balochistan, Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi, Adviser to the Chief Minister for Women Development Department, emphasized the urgent need to improve travel facilities for women in the region. This statement came during a meeting with the Parliamentary Secretary for Transport, MPA Abdul Majeed Badini, held on Tuesday.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Bilidi highlighted the critical importance of providing safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for women to facilitate their education and training. He advocated for the introduction of special buses dedicated to female students and called for reduced fares to make commuting more affordable for women. Such initiatives, he noted, are essential for women to attain greater achievements in academia and their professional lives.

Dr. Bilidi also stressed the collaborative effort required from all relevant institutions to foster gender equality and uphold women’s rights effectively. He assured that the Balochistan government is committed to implementing specific measures in the transport sector to address women’s issues and confirmed his full cooperation in these endeavors.

Furthermore, Dr. Bilidi remarked that the progress of Balochistan is intricately linked with the active participation of women in all spheres of life, underscoring the government’s resolve to support and empower women across the province.
