Balochistan Government Commits to Supporting Women’s Development Initiatives

Quetta: In a robust move to enhance gender equality in economic activities, the Balochistan government has pledged full support for projects aimed at empowering women, like the “Meri Biraj” initiative. This commitment was voiced by Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for the Women Development Department, during a meeting with representatives from the social organization Dutch Private Limited.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Dr. Bilidi underscored the significance of establishing Women Chambers of Commerce at both provincial and district levels as essential for creating a conducive business environment for women. He articulated the government’s dedication to initiatives that facilitate women’s active participation in business and resource sharing within the community.

The adviser also highlighted the government’s focus on launching training programs for women in the Naseerabad district, emphasizing the necessity of equipping women with modern skills to enable them to contribute effectively to their communities and the broader economy.

This meeting marks a significant step toward the provincial government’s goal of fostering an inclusive socio-economic development environment where women have equal opportunities to thrive as entrepreneurs and business leaders.
