Balochistan Education Minister Stresses Importance of Freedom and Youth Empowerment at Independence Day Event

Quetta: During an Independence Day celebration organized by the Children’s Academy Trust, Provincial Education Minister Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani emphasized the value of freedom and the role of youth in shaping the future of Pakistan. The event highlighted the sacrifices made during the country’s formation and the ongoing challenges faced by the nation.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Minister Durrani spoke to a large audience that included dignitaries, educators, and students, underscoring the historical significance of Pakistan’s independence and the need for continued dedication to national progress. She recounted the severe trials endured during partition and the critical need to cherish and protect the freedom won through such hardships. Highlighting the pivotal role of education, the minister noted recent government initiatives aimed at bolstering youth engagement and reducing child labor through educational reforms, including an educational emergency declared by the Chief Minister of Balochistan.

The event also served as a platform to honor the sacrifices made by security agencies and victims of terrorism, with special mention of the tragic events at APS Peshawar. In her address, Durrani expressed commitment to resolving issues faced by educational institutions like the Children’s Academy and recognized outstanding student contributions with awards and a ceremonial cake cutting marking the Independence Day celebrations.
