Balochistan Development Crucial for Pakistan’s Progress, Says PM


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the critical role of Balochistan’s development in the overall progress of Pakistan during a meeting with a delegation of lawyers from Balochistan at the PM House on Tuesday. The prime minister assured the delegation of the government’s unwavering commitment to the province’s development.



The meeting included key figures such as Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Rauf Atta, and President of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association Attaullah Langove. Discussions focused on the current law and order situation in Balochistan.



Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the value of Balochistan’s human resources, describing them as an asset for the nation. The delegation sought the federal government’s active role in enhancing the province’s security and suggested engaging with local political and tribal leaders to address these issues.



The presidents of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Balochistan High Court Bar Association briefed the prime minister on governance challenges in the province. They requested his leadership to address these challenges effectively.



The delegation commended the prime minister’s dedication to Balochistan’s development and the federal efforts to improve the welfare of its people. They also expressed appreciation for initiatives like the Danish Schools and requested similar educational opportunities in Khanzi and Mangochar.



Additionally, they urged the revival of scholarship programs for Balochistan students. In response, the prime minister directed relevant authorities to take immediate action on these requests.
