Quetta: A comprehensive security strategy for Muharram processions and gatherings has been set in place across Balochistan, following a high-level meeting chaired by Commander Balochistan Constabulary, Agha Muhammad Yusuf.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting, which connected Deputy Commandant BC and Zonal Commanders from Quetta, Sabi, Loralai, Khuzdar, and Gwadar via video link, emphasized strict adherence to the established security protocols. Commander Yusuf instructed all zonal commanders to coordinate closely with local District Police Officers and Deputy Commissioners to ensure the security of Muharram procession routes and prevent any disruptive incidents.
He stressed the importance of a synchronized effort among law enforcement agencies and mandated that all security measures be reported back to the Commandant. Additionally, Commander Yusuf directed that personnel on duty during Muharram receive adequate provisions, including quality food and proper travel arrangements.
