Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti met with international karate combat player Shahzeb Rand on Monday, where he congratulated Rand for maintaining a world record and expressed his best wishes for the athlete’s upcoming competition in Miami. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting talented youth and enhancing sports infrastructure in the province.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti praised Shahzeb Rand as a symbol of courage and talent for Balochistan’s youth. He assured that the provincial government would provide support at every level to ensure that the athletes continue to bring laurels to Balochistan and Pakistan on a global stage.

Further detailing the government’s initiatives, Mir Sarfraz Bugti revealed that for the first time, the sports department has prepared a yearly calendar of sports activities, signifying a structured approach to sports development in the region. This initiative aims to hold sports events across all areas of Balochistan, fostering a nurturing environment for the youth.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that alongside sports, the government is focusing on providing educational and other wholesome activities to the youth, ensuring a balanced development approach. This meeting underscores the government’s intent to promote sports as a crucial element of youth engagement and development in Balochistan.
