Balochistan Chief Minister Launches Key Development Projects to Boost Local Infrastructure and IT Sector

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has inaugurated three significant development projects in the province, which are set to revolutionize local infrastructure and the information technology sector through public-private partnerships. These projects include the Mountain View Tech Park in Murreeabad, the Circular Road Integrated Parking Plaza, and the LPG Technical Laboratory in Taftan.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti highlighted that the Mountain View Tech Park would skill and employ 1,000 youths within the next six months, providing 67 offices to bolster the IT sector. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to replicate such facilities across all divisional headquarters in Balochistan, enhancing employment opportunities and promoting regional development. At the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister also celebrated the signing of agreements for the establishment of the LPG Technical Laboratory in Chaman and addressed future urban beautification projects that aim to improve the aesthetic and functional quality of Quetta, including the completion of the road from Quetta Airport to Zarghon Road within six months.

Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqat elaborated on the parking plaza, noting that it can accommodate 600 vehicles and is designed to alleviate traffic congestion in Quetta, inspired by similar structures in Dubai and other modern cities. The ceremony also saw acknowledgments from Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan and other high-ranking officials, who praised the rapid realization of these projects and reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing any challenges that obstruct public welfare projects.
