Balochistan Chief Minister Highlights Health and Education Priorities on World Population Day

Quetta: On World Population Day, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti emphasized the crucial roles of health and education in the province’s development agenda, specifically focusing on maternal and child health improvements.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti stressed the importance of serious health sector enhancements to achieve developmental goals. He highlighted the need for substantive measures to revolutionize maternal and child health services to prevent maternal and newborn deaths in Balochistan. Bugti pointed out that reproductive health and family planning are fundamental to reducing mortality rates and improving the overall health status of the population. The provincial government, he noted, is committed to allocating sufficient funds for health services and family planning in the budget.

The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of providing access to quality reproductive health services, including the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, infertility management, and reproductive health education, as essential for the well-being of individuals, especially women and adolescents. He concluded by reaffirming the government’s determination to collaborate with various partners to promote the health and welfare of the people of Balochistan.
