Quetta: In a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti reviewed and directed enhanced security measures for the upcoming Muharram processions and gatherings across the province.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting featured key security officials including DIG Police Quetta Aitzaz Ahmed Gurayah, DG Levies Naseebullah Kakar, and Commissioner Quetta Division Hamza Shafqat, among others connected via video link. Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the full implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the security plan prepared for Muharram procession routes.
He urged divisional commissioners to coordinate closely with law enforcement agencies to form a comprehensive action plan for security arrangements and to report back to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat on their progress. Special attention was directed towards increasing security in sensitive districts and utilizing all available resources to ensure foolproof security measures are in place during the significant observances.
