Balochistan Assembly Speaker Tours Legislative Branches to Enhance Operations

Quetta: Speaker of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Khan Achakzai, conducted a detailed inspection of the various branches of the Assembly, emphasizing the need for improvements and efficient functioning within the legislative body. The visit aimed to familiarize the Speaker with the day-to-day operations and to identify key areas where legislative processes could be enhanced.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during his tour, Speaker Achakzai was accompanied by Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar, Special Secretary Abdul Rehman, Secretary to the Speaker Hayat Bizenjo, Staff Officer Jangi Khan Lassi, and other officials. The Speaker received comprehensive briefings about the functions, operations, and ongoing activities of each branch.

Speaker Achakzai stressed the Provincial Assembly’s critical role in governance, noting its responsibilities in legislating, monitoring government policies, and representing the populace. He highlighted that the effective functioning of the Assembly is crucial for the development, prosperity, and democratic growth of Balochistan. Further addressing the Assembly officials and staff, he underscored the importance of collective efforts in legislation to bolster provincial development, stating, “Legislation is the backbone of our province. We need the Assembly to strengthen the legislative process and serve the people.”
