Balochistan Announces Rs1028 Billion Budget for Fiscal Year 2025-26


Quetta: Balochistan’s government unveiled its financial blueprint for the fiscal year 2025-26, presenting a budget with a total outlay of 1,028 billion rupees. The budget was introduced during a session of the Balochistan Assembly, led by Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai.



Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Noshirwani detailed the allocations, emphasizing a significant portion dedicated to non-development and development expenditures. The budget allocates 642 billion rupees for non-development expenses and 249 billion rupees for development projects.



Education and health sectors emerge as key priorities in the budget. Over 120 billion rupees are set aside for the schools section within the education sector, and 29.1 billion rupees will support higher education development. The health sector is allocated 87 billion rupees.



The agriculture sector receives more than 26 billion rupees to support its development initiatives, while the Food Department is earmarked over one billion rupees.



The budget reflects Balochistan’s focus on enhancing essential services and infrastructure, aiming to drive progress across the province.
