Balochistan Announces Comprehensive Youth Empowerment Initiatives

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti announced a series of governmental measures aimed at enhancing the welfare and economic prospects of the youth in the province. These initiatives include educational scholarships, overseas employment opportunities, and support for self-employment through financial loans.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Chief Minister, while distributing scholarship cheques under the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund in Quetta, declared that the government will fund the education of selected students for the next sixteen years. This long-term educational support is designed to equip the youth with necessary skills and qualifications for better job opportunities.

In a significant move to tackle unemployment and improve family incomes, Mir Sarfraz Bugti revealed plans to send thirty thousand skilled youth to foreign countries for employment. This initiative is expected to open new avenues for the youth and contribute to the economic development of their families back home.

Additionally, the government will offer loans to unemployed youth under the Akhuwat program. This program aims to encourage entrepreneurship and help young individuals become self-reliant, thereby reducing the unemployment rate within the province.

The Chief Minister also highlighted ongoing efforts for the development of minorities in Balochistan, ensuring that the welfare measures reach all segments of the province’s population.
