Balochistan Advisor Calls for Reconciliation Over Protests in Light of Gwadar Rally

Quetta: In response to the Raji Machi rally held by the Baloch Solidarity Committee in Gwadar, Mir Ali Hasan Zahri, the Provincial Advisor for Industry and Crafts and spokesman for President Asif Ali Zardari in Balochistan, has expressed concerns over the risks associated with such events given the current peace situation in the province. Zahri emphasized the importance of peace and stability, urging a move towards reconciliation rather than protest.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Zahri highlighted that the challenges facing the province could be addressed through dialogue and mutual negotiation. He commended the sacrifices made by security agencies to maintain national integrity and peace, asserting that these efforts are crucial in combating both internal and external threats. Zahri’s statement underscored his belief in the effectiveness of peaceful negotiations over public demonstrations.

Furthermore, Zahri extended a personal invitation to the Baloch community, on behalf of President Zardari’s spokesperson, to engage in talks aimed at reconciliation. He stressed that peaceful dialogue is the most constructive path forward for addressing the grievances of the Baloch people and achieving lasting peace in the region.
