Bajaur, Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Muhammad Anwarul Haq, chaired a meeting at the DC office to discuss preparations for the upcoming anti-polio campaign set to begin on November 27, 2023. The meeting, aimed at ensuring a successful and secure polio vaccination drive, was attended by key officials and representatives from various departments.
According to Directorate General Information and PRs, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the meeting included attendees such as the District Police Officer Bajaur Kashif Zulfiqar, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Ali Raza, and representatives from health, education, WHO, and other related institutions. N-Stop Officer Dr. Abdul Rahman provided a comprehensive briefing on the campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Haq instructed the District Police Officer to ensure adequate and timely security for polio frontline workers. He also directed the District Emergency Operations Center (DEOC) members to conduct Tehsil Polio Eradication Committee (TPEC) meetings at the tehsil level, update the micro plan, and train teams. These steps are part of a rigorous effort to utilize all resources effectively for the success of the polio campaign. The campaign is part of a broader initiative to eradicate polio and safeguard children’s health in the region.
