Azerbaijan’s Justice Minister Awards Pakistan’s Law Minister on Landmark Visit


Islamabad: On the second day of an official visit, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Farid Ahmadov, led a delegation to the Ministry of Law and Justice of Pakistan. The meeting, co-chaired by Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, and Ahmadov, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial fields.



According to Press Information Department, Ahmadov commended the Ministry of Law and Justice for organizing the visit, which he described as productive and significant. He pledged continued collaboration in judicial training and institutional partnerships. In a notable gesture, Ahmadov awarded Tarar the “Medal for Justice,” marking the first instance of this honor being given to a foreign law minister by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice.



The Azerbaijani delegation received briefings on the Ministry of Law and Justice’s operations and its digital initiatives, such as court automation and a Case Management System, which garnered appreciation. A tree plantation ceremony underscored the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, with both sides expressing satisfaction with their developing relationship and a shared commitment to strengthening legal, judicial, and institutional collaboration.
