Azad Kashmir Hosts 15th Sirat Scouts Rally with State-Level Competitions

Hattian Bala, a comma: The 15th Sirat Scouts Rally, a significant three-day event, was inaugurated in Azad Kashmir, marking an important gathering for scouts from across the region. The event, hosted at the Government Khursheed Hasan Khursheed Boys High School Gujar Bandi, brought together students and scouts from ten districts of Azad Kashmir. The rally features a series of competitions and seminars focusing on various skills and knowledge areas.

According to Press Club, the opening ceremony was graced by the Deputy Commissioner of Jhelum Valley, Syed Ashfaq Geelani, as the special guest. Notable attendees included Commissioner Muzaffarabad Division Qazi Abdul Jalil Jalali, Chairman District Council Jhelum Valley Tayyab Manzoor Kayani, Secretary Scouts Azad Kashmir Tahir Masood Chaghtai, and other distinguished figures from the educational, political, social, religious, and civil society sectors. The rally will feature state-level competitions among the first-placed scouts from ten districts in categories such as Shaheen Scouts, Boys Scouts, and Roar Scouts.

The competitions encompass a wide range of activities, including Hasan Recitation, Hasan Naat, Good Speech, Mental Test, Biography, and Mystical Speech. Additionally, the rally will host seminars and workshops on contemporary issues like climate change, water conservation, and emergency response at various educational institutions across the region. Highlights include a seminar on climate change at Government High School Batangi, a water conservation seminar at Government High School Chakothi, and a traffic control training session at Government High School Chinari.

The closing ceremony, scheduled for November 10th at Government Boys High School Gujarbandi, will feature the Education Minister Dewan Ali Khan Chaghatai as the special guest. This event not only showcases the talents and skills of young scouts but also emphasizes the importance of environmental awareness and civic responsibility among the youth in Azad Kashmir.
