Islamabad, The 53rd Syndicate of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University convened under the chairmanship of Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities. The meeting, held at the President’s House, Kashmir House in Islamabad, saw the participation of key university officials and stakeholders discussing ongoing projects, administrative issues, and the university’s financial strategies for the upcoming year.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi provided a comprehensive briefing on the university’s current initiatives and the challenges it faces. The meeting’s agenda also included a detailed discussion on the administrative concerns of the university, led by Prof. Dr. Abbasi.
A significant outcome of the syndicate meeting was the approval of the budget for the financial year 2023-24. The members collectively agreed to curb unnecessary expenditures to alleviate the university’s financial burdens as efficiently as possible.
In his directives, President and Chancellor Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry emphasized the paramount importance of enhancing the quality of education at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He assured his full support and cooperation towards initiatives aimed at educational improvement, highlighting the university’s role in fostering academic excellence in the region.
