Islamabad: The 54th syndicate meeting of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir University took place at the President’s House Kashmir House, chaired by Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, the Chancellor of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University. The meeting saw participation from various university officials, including Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, and members of the syndicate. During the session, discussions focused on ongoing projects and challenges faced by the university.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the meeting resulted in the approval of the university’s annual budget for 2024-25, amounting to Rs. 2.42 billion. This budget includes a significant grant of Rs. 1.5 billion, which is expected to support the university’s financial needs and future projects. Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi expressed gratitude towards Chancellor Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry for his efforts in securing the grant.
The Chancellor emphasized the importance of enhancing the quality of education at the university and directed the administration to align its teaching processes with international standards. Vice Chancellor Dr. Abbasi affirmed the university’s commitment to improving educational standards and meeting global demands, in line with the Chancellor’s vision.
