Azad Jammu and Kashmir Emphasizes Transparent Implementation of Development Projects

Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir Government Spokesman and Finance Minister Abdul Majid Khan praised Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq for his national-minded leadership and commitment to merit-based policies in development projects. The government, is advancing successfully in the completion of significant development initiatives.

According to Press Information Department – Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khan highlighted the government’s focus on media, education, and medical facilities as current priorities. He also emphasized the importance of transparent and timely project implementation to enhance the state’s tourism and transport systems. In a recent meeting of the Azad Kashmir Cabinet Development Committee for the financial year 2023-24, 30 projects totaling over 15 billion rupees were reviewed. These include the construction of 816 kilometers of roads and three new bridges across 28 constituencies under the Temeer Kashmir program, with a budget of 14 billion rupees.

Khan also addressed criticism from the opposition, led by Khawaja Farooq Ahmed Khan. He accused the opposition of using public blackmail to gain sympathy, while asserting the government’s dedication to development and improvement in the quality of life for Kashmiri refugees. The Prime Minister and the coalition government welcome constructive criticism, ensuring ongoing dialogue with constituencies for the effective allocation of development funds.
