Islamabad: The Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, arrived in Islamabad on Sunday to attend the Third Trilateral Speakers’ Conference, where she was welcomed by Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. During their bilateral meeting, Sadiq underscored the enduring bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

Sadiq stated that Pakistanis view Azerbaijanis as brothers, highlighting how both nations have consistently supported each other during challenging times. The two countries have historically backed each other’s positions on regional and international platforms.

Gafarova expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s Parliament and its people for their hospitality. She emphasized that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan is rooted in mutual respect and brotherhood. Gafarova reiterated that Azerbaijan regards Pakistan as a sincere friend and brother.
