Awami Action Committee Mourns Loss of Prominent Srinagar Personalities

Srinagar, The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has publicly mourned the passing of several esteemed personalities from Srinagar, associated with both the organization and the Mirwaiz family. This series of losses has cast a shadow over the community, highlighting the respected individuals’ contributions to the region and its people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, those who passed include Abdul Ghani Bazaz of Nowshera, Ghulam Qadir Langoo of Alamgiri Bazar, Ghulam Nabi Kapra of Wahab Sahib Jama Masjid, Mushtaq Ahmad Misgar of Tanki Mohalla Jama Masjid, and Ghulam Hassan Naqash of Ahmada Kadal Srinagar. The AAC, under the leadership of Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, issued a statement expressing profound grief over these demises and offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also specifically noted the tragic death of Bashir Ahmed of the Jamalta area in Srinagar, who perished in a devastating fire incident. He extended his sympathies to Ahmed’s family, sharing in the sorrow of this loss.

In a gesture of solidarity and respect, a delegation from the AAC visited the homes of the deceased, conveying condolences on behalf of Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir. The delegation met with the families of Abdul Ghani Bazaz, Ghulam Qadir Langoo, Ghulam Nabi Kapra, Mushtaq Ahmad Misgar, and Ghulam Hassan Naqash, sharing messages of sympathy and support during this difficult time.

The visits underscored the community’s collective mourning and the high regard in which these individuals were held. The delegation’s prayers for Jannat-ul-Firdous for the departed souls and for patience for their grieving families reflected the deep sense of loss felt across the region.
