Srinagar, The Jammu and Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) has publicly shared its sorrow following the death of Haji Bashir Ahmad Mir, a prominent member of the organization, acknowledging his considerable contributions and longstanding relationship with the Mirwaiz family. The committee commemorated Mir’s dedication and efforts towards the cause championed by the AAC and his close ties with its leadership.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the demise of Haji Bashir Ahmad Mir is seen as a significant loss to the AAC, as articulated by the group’s chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Farooq highlighted Mir’s lifelong commitment to the organization’s goals and his role in embodying the principles established by AAC’s founder, Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Farooq. Haji Mir’s efforts in promoting and adhering to the AAC’s stance were particularly noted for their impact and sincerity.
In addition to recognizing Haji Mir’s legacy, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed his condolences to Mir’s family, offering prayers for the eternal peace of the departed and solace for the family during this difficult period. Special prayers were made for the strength and patience of Mir’s sons, Khursheed Ahmad Mir and Shakeel Ahmad Mir, and the wider family circle.
The funeral of Haji Bashir Ahmad Mir saw significant attendance, including a senior delegation from the AAC, numerous workers, and individuals from various affiliated institutions. This gathering not only paid their respects but also delivered a message of sympathy from Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to Mir’s family, praying for his soul’s ascension to Jannat-ul-Firdous.
