Lahore, The Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Mr. Neil Hawkins, recently toured several offices and police stations of the Punjab Police in Lahore, where he lauded the force’s modernization and public service delivery improvements. His visit highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Australian and Punjab policing bodies, with a focus on enhancing training and information sharing.
According to Punjab Police, Mr. Hawkins, alongside IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, inspected the Police Khidmat Mega Center Aabshar in Shadman and other key locations such as the Special Initiative Police Station Gulberg and the Liberty Khidmat Center. During his visits, Mr. Hawkins was briefed on the significant reforms and advancements in public service delivery within the Punjab Police, including the introduction of modern policing projects.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar shared insights into the comprehensive transformation of police stations across Punjab under the Special Initiative Protocol, emphasizing the effective use of digital technology in providing policing services to citizens. He also highlighted the alignment of police infrastructure with modern standards through the development of police service centers, safe cities, and smart police stations.
Mr. Hawkins expressed his appreciation for the Punjab Police’s efforts in upgrading their facilities and improving service delivery.
