Australian High Commissioner Discusses Bilateral Ties and Human Rights with Pakistani Law Minister


Islamabad, Australian High Commissioner Neil Hawkins met with Pakistan’s Minister for Law And Justice And Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar to discuss various topics including bilateral relations, human rights, and the rule of law.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting covered a range of issues with a significant focus on strengthening human rights frameworks and enhancing gender parity in Pakistan. Minister Tarar detailed initiatives aimed at empowering provincial commissions on the status of women and advancing structural reforms to protect minority rights.



He highlighted efforts to integrate vulnerable communities, particularly the transgender community, into mainstream society. Both sides expressed a commitment to supporting initiatives that promote tolerance, religious freedom, and mutual respect, continuing the collaborative efforts to foster a more inclusive and just society.
