Australia Announces Additional Flood Relief Assistance to Pakistan 

Canberra, September 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Government of Australia has announced a further $3 million in flood relief assistance to Pakistan in response to the devastating flooding that has impacted over 33 million people and deluged more than a third of the country.

The Australian assistance will be delivered through the World Food Program (WFP). Australia had earlier provided $2 million in relief assistance. The additional support will bring Australia’s total assistance to $5 million. The Government and the people of Pakistan greatly appreciate Australia’s solidarity in the wake of devastating floods caused by climate change.
