Attaching of Shabbir Shah’s home in Srinagar by Indian ED denounced

Islamabad, November 05, 2022 (PPI-OT):All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has strongly condemned the Indian Enforcement Directorate (ED) for attaching the house of illegally detained APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in Srinagar.

APHC-AJK chapter Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement in Islamabad said that attaching Shabbir Shah’s home-cum office is a colonial era tactic the Bharatiya Janata Party is using to break the political will of Shabbir Ahmed Shah and other Hurriyat leaders.

Senior APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad strongly condemned Indian authorities for attaching the house of APHC senior leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah in Srinagar. He urged the United Nations and other international human rights organizations to take note of the India’s vindictive action against the detained leader.

Other APHC-AJK leaders including Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Qazi Muhammad Imran in their separate statements in Islamabad, condemning the attachment of the residence of Shabbir Ahmad Shah in Srinagar, said India cannot suppress the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement though such tactics. They said Shabbir Ahmad Shah has been one of the worst victims of India’s vendetta politics and such tactics won’t deter him from pursuing the noble cause for which he had devoted his entire life.
